Discover The Challenger 605
The Challenger 605 is the successor to the Challenger 604, which is the best-selling variant of Bombardier’s 600 series. Where previous jets have lost weight and thus payload, as more equipment has been added, the 605 has gained dimensions but has not lost any payload.
A key update was made to the cabin windows. The 605 now has larger windows, placed higher than previously, a slight redesign of the tail cone, an updated electronics suite, and, most importantly, an EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) installation capability. All of these changes have worked to make what was already a great aircraft even better.
The Challenger 605 is powered by two General Electric CF34-3B turbofan engines, which produce up to 8,729 lbs of thrust each, delivering a maximum distance of 4,047 nautical miles for 4 passengers or less. With a flight distance like this, there are more places in the world that you can fly to nonstop than those you cannot. Pretty amazing when you think about it, wouldn’t you say?
In flight, the Challenger 605 presents passengers with an incredible amount of flexibility. It can land and depart from smaller airports and can comfortably enter into tight spaces. For these reasons and so many more, the Challenger 605 is, industry-wide, recognised as one of the best options for someone looking for a versatile midsize jet with the greatest amount of flexibility.
